Paris: Christmas at Galeries Lafayette

Every year, the Galeries Lafayette department store on Boulevard Haussmann in Paris hoists a 4-story Christmas tree up and positions it beneath the glass and steel Byzantine dome on the ground floor of the shopping venue. The theme for Galeries Lafayette's 2011 holiday festivities is 'Rock’N Mode' where rock 'n roll blares from the speakers and edgy yet fashionable apparel is on display. Continuing on the rock 'n roll theme, Iggy Pop serves as the store's "Father Christmas 2011" as shown on a poster designed by Jean-Paul Goude.
